Trains planes and automobiles: getting to Trout Cottage
By Car:
- M5 exit J27 onto A361 towards Tiverton; continue 6.5 miles
- at the roundabout take the 3rd exit to Dulverton / A396; stay on A396 and continue 5 miles
- at the roundabout take the 1st exit and stay on A396 following the river Exe for 5 miles
- look out for a right turn to Dulverton (still A396) as the road bends and then immediately take the lower road to Minehead and Dulverton
- continue along the A396 for about 3 miles
- turn left at the white Toll House to Dulverton B3222
- stay on B3222 for another 3 miles to Dulverton
- cross the bridge and follow the road through the town
- follow Lady Road (left after the Co-op) which becomes Northmoor Road and stop just before the first garage
- if you can, park just behind the patio opposite Trout Cottage otherwise there should be spaces opposite the bakery a little further along
There is a turning point a bit further along the road when you want to go back the other way.
By Train to Tiverton Parkway Station:
- London Paddington 2 hours 50 mins
- Bristol Temple Meads – 46 mins
- Exeter – 15 mins
Taxi from station to Dulverton:
- takes 30 minutes
- costs £32 to £45
Bus from station to Dulverton:
- need 2 buses
- one runs 3 or 4 times a day
