  • the water is relatively shallow in this part but all activities are at own risk

Eating:

  • a bakery a few doors down the road

  • a Co-op supermarket down the road open 6am till 11pm 

  • loads of lovely nearby places to eat and drink

What’s provided:

  • freshly laundered all white bed linen and towels 

  • hairdryer

  • well equipped kitchen: salt and pepper, tea towels, oven gloves... even a chef’s apron!

  • toilet paper, dishwasher tablets 

  • dog bowls, a dog cushion and a sleeping cage

  • an information pack emailed ahead

Not suitable for:

Unfortunately with only an upstairs bathroom and the garden being across a narrow busy road down a dozen or so steps to the river, this is a difficult place for anyone with particular mobility issues and children will require supervision. 

Our policies:

  • flexible self check-in any time after 4pm, self check-out before 10am using the keysafe

  • up to 2 dogs are welcome to be kept downstairs and sleep in the games room charged £20 per dog

  • outdoor shoes to be left at the door

  • no events or parties out of respect for the neighbours

  • smoking only outside because of fire risk

  • guests will be charged for phone calls over an hour, damage beyond trivial and dogs upstairs

  • we want to keep Trout Cottage perfect so please report anything missing or damaged 

  • please return things to their original place before leaving

  • after check out the housekeeper will leave a review of how guests have left the cottage
